The following programs are available individually or in combinations. We will tailor our programs to your specific needs and requirements.
“Bob’s Family of Critters” - In this most popular program Bob talks about a wide variety of birds, snakes, lizards, amphibians, turtles, an alligator and invertebrates. He explains the proper handling, eating habits, defense mechanisms and habitats of these animals. Participants will get a close-up look at all of the animals and, as in all of Bob’s programs, have the opportunity to touch and hold some of the animals.
“Screams and Squawks” – In this fun and entertaining program, Bob presents several kinds of captive-born birds such as a macaw, a cockatoo, an amazon, cockatiels, a conure and a rosy bourke, all of which make excellent pets. He will discuss and demonstrate the correct handling, feeding, cage maintenance, natural habitats, and training of these fascinating and personable animals.
“Silent Slitherers” – Bob presents several kinds of colorful and fascinating snakes representing a variety of habitats and geographic locations. They may include a black snake, corn snake, banded king snake, albino king snake, pueblan milk snake, sinaloan milk snake, Kenyan sand boa, rosy boa, and a red tail boa. The anatomical characteristics, proper care, feeding, handling, and habitats of these snakes will be explained and demonstrated.
“Shell- tered Lives” – Bob explains the unique world of turtles and their ingenious self-defense methods, eating habits, habitats and survival adaptations. He will also explain the proper handling and captive care methods. Land turtles, pond turtles, and bottom-dwelling turtles will be featured in this popular program.
“Our Scaly Friends” – Bob demonstrates several kinds of exciting lizards and their many ways of adapting to harsh environments. The habitats, defense mechanisms and handling of these reptiles, as well as their proper care as pets will be explained. The lizards may include a leopard gecko, a blue-tongue skink, a fat-tailed gecko, a Schneider’s skink, a Tokay gecko and others.
“Radical Reptiles” – This program includes a wide selection of the reptiles in Bob’s collection. He will discuss the differences between warm and cold blooded vertebrates and explain the physical characteristics, defense mechanisms, environmental adaptations and habitats of snakes, lizards, turtles and an alligator.
“Sneaky Attackers” – Turtles and alligators are the theme of this presentation. Bob will discuss the predator nature of these reptiles and explain their fascinating hunting methods.
“You Can’t Catch Me!” – In this program Bob uses a variety of animals to demonstrate and explain various survival techniques and defense mechanisms. He will discuss the use of shells, scales, claws, teeth, beaks, actions and color as adaptations animals use to defend against and escape from predators.
“Creepy Crawlers” – For the invertebrate lover Bob presents a selection of spineless creatures and discusses their clever adaptations. Tarantulas, millipedes, cockroaches and scorpions are featured in this amazing program.
“Wet and Wild” – Bob will tailor this program to your needs and interests regarding the setting up and maintenance of fresh and salt water aquariums or garden ponds. The proper set up, filter systems, heating requirements, ph levels, plant life, care and feeding of aquatic animals, and everything you need to set up an aquatic system will be explained and demonstrated. |
